This site is a read-only publication. There are no reader accounts, comments or advertising. There are no third-party trackers.
What we collect
- Page views. When you open a page, your browser sends a small request that records the page path, the referring site’s hostname and a one-way hash of your IP address and browser string that is salted with a value that changes every day. We cannot recover your IP address from it or recognise you on another day. We use it to count readers and see which articles are useful. If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing is recorded.
- Server logs. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, URL, user agent) for security and debugging, and deletes them on a rolling schedule.
What we do not do
- No advertising or marketing cookies. Visitors receive no cookies at all; the only cookie on this domain is a session cookie for the site’s administrators.
- No selling of data. No third-party analytics.
- Links to other sites, including oneenv.io, are governed by those sites’ own policies.
Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us.
